Shalom! For those I haven’t had an opportunity to meet personally, my name is Linda Arnowitt. “2-line” biography: My husband Bob and our two now-adult children (Jenna & Steven) moved to the Cape from Philadelphia in 1999 without having any friends or family “north of New York” to lien on. Bob and I operate an active equipment leasing and financing business, founded more than 31 years ago that serves customers throughout the United States.
Setting down our own spiritual and social roots here on the Cape was a top priority when we first settled in…and that’s how the CCS slowly became a second family to our family. Our closest friendships have all grown out of our participation in the always warm and welcoming environment of this synagogue community. Both of our kids graduated from the CCS Religious School, were Bar/Bat Mitzvah’ d and confirmed here and both continued with CAPTY as well.
Our family has been a member of the Cape Cod Synagogue for nearly years now and after serving on a variety of committees including ritual and membership, directing our youth choir, Sisterhood and on the Board of Trustees, I was honored by being asked to serve as President this year and next.
Among my goals as President for 2016/17 is to improve and strengthen our Religious School which is and has to be at the core of any vibrant community. To also encourage day-to-day participation of all members through ongoing educational and social opportunities and lastly, building greater communications with and increasing outreach to members like you, to better understand your needs…and put in place a long term strategy to serve our community as it continues to evolve.
